Fly Ball

I got a home fly ball / ball launcher that Myrtle and I have been trying it out.

Myrtle is already clicker trained so picks things up pretty quickly, this was our second try. She gets a ‘click and treat’ for pressing the foot pad. You will see that at one point she gets abit confused – clicker training encourages your dog to work things out for themselves – she quickly realises that she has to ‘earn’ her treat.

I haven’t put the ball in there yet because I want her to understand the foot pedal first. I’m usually a bit more enthusiastic when I am training but a single cue (‘fly’) makes it a bit clearer to Myrtle. I only added the word once she was consistently pressing the foot pad herself.
