Behaviour Consultation Process
| Step | Description | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Initial Contact & Questions | Contact me to discuss your dog’s behavioural issues. Please pop me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I’ll answer any preliminary questions you have and guide you through the next steps. | Ongoing |
| 2. Veterinary Referral | Before we start behavioural training, I require a vet referral. This ensures that your dog is healthy, as medical issues can impact behaviour. I’ll provide the form for your vet to fill out. | 1-2 Days to Obtain |
| 3. Initial Behaviour Consultation | We meet for a detailed, in-home consultation. I’ll review your dog’s history, behaviour, and environment. This is where we’ll gather all relevant information. | Up to 2 hours |
| 4. Behaviour Assessment | I assess the situation and offer you immediate advice or management strategies. We will also discuss the behavioural goals you want to achieve. | During Consultation |
| 5. Behaviour Report & Plan | After our consultation, I’ll send you a written report and tailored behaviour modification plan. This plan will be shared with your vet to ensure everyone is on the same page. | Within 2-3 Days |
| 6. Follow-up Sessions | We meet again (in-person or via Zoom) to review progress, troubleshoot issues, and put the behaviour plan into practice. | Within 8 weeks of initial visit |
| 7. Ongoing Support | You can access ongoing support via email or WhatsApp for up to 8 weeks after the consultation. This helps with any questions and ongoing adjustments. | 8 Weeks of Support |
| 8. Additional Sessions (if needed) | If further support is required, you can schedule extra sessions for more detailed work or complex issues. | As Needed |
