“Teenage Tearaways”
I have been running this really popular course for a couple of years now, it is the perfect next step for puppies who have completed the 6 week puppy class. You don’t need to jump stright into teenage tearaways but it is worth considering booking your spot as soon as you can (even if it’s for a future class) as they tend to fill up quickly.
In this four week course we will revisit some of the core skills from puppy class, we will also add lots of new skills to help your dog engage with you when out and about, and come back when you ask !!.
The curriculum includes:
- Getting their attention in distracting environments.
- “Stay” and “leave it”
- Loose lead walking past distractions.
- Recall while on the move, and from distractions.
- Being able to settle in exciting environments.
- Distance work.
- “The urban settle”
- The Emergency stop
- Fun (but useful) tricks such as “middle”.
We will also work towards our pups being able to happily watch other dogs, and people, wander past without feeling the need to dash over and say Hello.
Who is this class suitable for ?
- Puppies and dogs from around 6 months
- Puppies who have previously trained with us (if you have done puppy classes elsewhere please get in touch before booking :0).
