12 Squishy Balls & a Yorkshire Pudding Tray
May not sound like a recipe for brain games but if you could see my 3 dogs sleeping like babies right now you will soon want to give it a try.
Winter is fast approaching and if you are struggling to get your dog out on long walks brain games can help. Brain games are a brilliant way of tiring them out and building your relationship (if you get involved).
You can adapt all the games I talk about depending on how familiar your dog is to playing brain games. Make it nice and easy to start. The soft squishy balls are make the game nice and easy because they can be pushed out easily. Mine are a little more used to these games so I use tennis balls which are a bit heavier and harder to push out.
The beauty of this game is its simplicity. Simply pop a treat in each of the pudding moulds then drop a ball on top.
The idea of the game is for your dog to ‘snuffle’ out the balls to get to the treats.
I love watching them trying to work it out. My impatient Border Collie will flip the tray over if I’m not playing the game by holding it down. Whereas my 12 year old Catalan Sheepdog, Taz will gently nudge the balls out one at a time.
Have a try and let me know how it goes.
