1:2:1 Training

Clicking With Canines offers fun, force free, up to date training designed to meet your dog training needs; whether it’s managing a specific dog behaviour problem or trick training to challenge your dog to use its brain.

At CWC we use clicker training (if appropriate) to show you how to improve your relationship with your dog.  Clicker training is a popular way to train your dog and/or  manage a particular dog behaviour problem.  It is based on the scientific concept that an animal will continue to do a behaviour that is rewarded.  This type of training often produces quick and effective results.

I am a Karen Pryor Academy certified training partner which means that I have undertaken an intensive course looking at all aspects of dog training.  I know that training your dog can prevent it from developing anxiety and other stress related behaviours such as destructive chewing, inappropriate barking and aggressive display.

Often we can help you in just one session. Once you both ‘get it’ clicker training,  it can be used for all sorts of situations from trick training to overcoming problem behaviours.

If we decide clicker training is the answer, we will show you:

    • Why and how clicker training works
    • Clicker mechanics
  • How to use the clicker to help you work on the issue

We are always on the end of the phone and email to answer any questions.  Full written support is also provided.

I cover all areas surrounding Tockwith which is between Harrogate and York.

Your own home is recommended for 1-2-1 sessions because it is a relaxed environment.  If we are working on something such as loose lead walking or reactivity, we can meet in open areas.

Cost: The first session is a £45 as it often takes a little longer and includes a comprehensive email followup.

After that they are £35 a session (number of sessions are dependent on your personal and pooches needs). Includes support via telephone and messages and an email report of the plan we have put in place.
